The Career Studies and Coaching team within the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Warwick is seeking two new Teaching Fellows to join us in our exciting and innovative work offering high quality professional development programmes to new and experienced career development professionals and coaches.

These posts are available due to the promotion of existing team members into course management and student support roles in the Centre for Lifelong Learning. The team is led by Associate Professor Gill Frigerio and details of members of the team can be found at Our staff (warwick.ac.uk). This shows the variety of professional practice contexts and backgrounds we bring to the teaching of career development and coaching practitioners, from organisational coaching to higher education careers work.

All the current team moved into teaching roles from practice and management backgrounds and are experienced in working directly with clients. You will need demonstrable ability to support students from a range of international and professional backgrounds on blended learning programmes as well as good knowledge of at least one of the theoretical bases for career development and coaching practice. You will have, a relevant postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional or academic standing. You will have excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills and both face to face and online teaching experience relevant to our professional practice focus.

**JOB PURPOSE**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Teaching and Learning Support**
- Teach alone or as a member of a teaching team in new and established programmes of study.
- Contribute to the design of programmes of study
- Undertake academic management duties e.g., acting as course leader where appropriate, course quality audit, marketing and recruitment co-ordination.
- Lead specified modules, developing own teaching materials, methods and approaches with guidance, and maintaining learning and assessment platforms (e.g. Moodle).
- Identify learning needs of students and define appropriate learning outcomes.
- Ensure that content, methods of delivery and learning materials will meet the defined and agreed learning outcomes.
- Supervise the work of students, provide advice on study skills and help them with learning problems, communicating complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using a range of media.
- Select appropriate assessment instruments and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.

**Administration and Other Activities**
- Contribute to the planning, design and development of the curriculum area.
- Undertake duties related to course administration, such as attendance records, etc.
- Attend departmental meetings and play an appropriate role in the life of the department.
- Participate in and develop internal and external networks, for example may contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.
- Act as a personal tutor.
- Participate in relevant professional activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work and, where appropriate, undertake risk assessments.
