**Working Pattern**:
- Monday 10.45 - 15.00
- Wednesday 10.45 - 12.45 (2 hours)
- 2 hours planning time (Flexible).

Minstead Trust, a leading learning disabilities charity based in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, is offering the opportunity for a Community Theatre Facilitator to join its inspiring and fun Day Opportunities Team.
The Trust is now embarking on an exciting new 5 year strategy aimed at going beyond typical support, delivering exceptional care with a focus on inspiring and influencing the community, further breaking down stigma and empowering those we support to reach their full potential.
We are looking for a facilitator who is passionate about using theatre to support adults with a learning disability to build confidence, creativity and teamworking skills. You’ll run a range of theatre workshops that will need to be accessible for a range of levels, abilities and needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Creating, developing, and leading theatre workshops for adults with a learning disability and/or autism.
- Managing employees and volunteers who attend each week, providing guidance and direction to volunteers and support workers assisting in the workshops.
- Recording and maintaining accurate records for group members to track progress and implement risk assessments where necessary
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with family members, carers and other professionals as required, acting as an Ambassador for the Trust and people with learning disabilities.
**Personal Specification**
- Experience of leading theatre workshops (Essential)
- The ability to inspire, connect and build positive relationships with the group members. (Essential)
- Experience of working with adults with a learning disability (Essential)
- Experience of Safeguarding Adults and recognition of the importance of this. (Desirable)
**All staff working for, or on behalf of Minstead Trust, understand their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults at risk and know who to escalate concerns to within Minstead Trust.**
