**What you’ll do**

As the Core Network Support Authority, you will work in a small & dedicated team and will be responsible for our core network and infrastructure, this includes the support, operation and maintenance of both the service and hardware of elements that make up this infrastructure (eg. HLR, CUDB, HSS-FE, EDA2, CCDM. CCSM, EIR, UPG, USSD), and new elements as they are delivered.

You will maintain the domain infrastructure throughout its lifecycle in order to ensure services are delivered at the required level of availability and performance through pro-active service assurance. As well as this, you will restore any part of the domain infrastructure to normal service in a timely, safe and effective manner.

Most of the work will be on a business-as-usual basis working to strict Service Level Agreements, but you will also be required to be part of a 24/7 on call rota, supporting the CSDB & UDM network 365 days a year to provide the technical lead, input and direction to fault situations.

**Who you are**
- Excellent knowledge of 2G,4G, VoLTE (IMS) and 5G technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of HLR, CUDB, HSS-FE, EIR, SS7,Sigtran, SIP, RTP & IMS.
- Good working knowledge NFVi preferably vmWare, and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of Linux, MySQL, LDAP, REST and SOAP.
- Good working knowledge of Geoprobe, Wireshark and tracing (IRIS tool) functionality
- Experience of investigating E2E service issues & trouble shooting methodologies.
- Experience of using network statistics (KPIs), networks traces and logs to analyse and improve network performance.
- Strong communication (including presenting complex technical information in plain language) and decision-making skills.
- HND or HTEC or higher in related discipline
- Operational experience on complex systems.
- IT/Telecom support.
- Evidence of working on large installations using own initiative.
