**Primary School Behaviour and Pastoral Mentor (Non-Class Based)**

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Behaviour and Pastoral Mentor to join the dynamic team at a 'GOOD' school in Northfield, Birmingham. This non-class based position is crucial to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering the emotional well-being of our students, and supporting their academic and social development.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Behaviour Management**:

- Implement and maintain a consistent and effective behaviour management system.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address and resolve behavioural concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to individual students or groups with behavioural challenges.
- ** Pastoral Support**:

- Build strong relationships with students, promoting a supportive and nurturing environment.
- Conduct regular pastoral sessions to address emotional and social needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify and support students experiencing difficulties.
- ** Individualised Support**:

- Develop and implement individualised support plans for students with specific behavioural or pastoral needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies, adjusting as necessary.
- ** Parental Engagement**:

- Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers to enhance student support.
- Organise and participate in parent workshops and meetings related to behaviour and pastoral matters.
- ** Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), teachers, and other school staff to create a cohesive support network.
- Attend regular team meetings to discuss and coordinate strategies for student well-being.
- ** Record Keeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of behavioural and pastoral interventions.
- Provide regular reports to school leadership on the progress of individual students and overall behavioural trends.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant qualification in education, counselling, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with primary school students in a behavioural or pastoral support capacity.
- Strong understanding of child development, behaviour management strategies, and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
