Abertawe Residential Care Ltd provides a bespoke mental health residential care service in Swansea that is tailor-made for each resident to match their own unique requirements in order that they can live as independently as possible whilst also being fully supported.

As well as supporting our residents we also actively support our employees in their personal development and encourage and foster the opportunity to undertake professional development in the health and social care field.

**Job Role**

**NVQ/QCF 2 Health & Social care essential or willing to work towards one.**

Outgoing and reliable individuals will be welcomed and would enjoy working in a small but growing team with real potential for self-development and progression within the company as we expand.

To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures, and agreed on standards under the direction of the Registered Care Manager and Senior Staff.

To support and enable Adults aged 18+ to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual.

To provide support for residents including the administration of medication and maintaining accurate records for each resident.

To maintain a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff - adhering to all pertinent Health and Safety Legislation.

Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.

Plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and well-being, whilst recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection.

Provide Adults age 18+ with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.

- A desire to work within the Mental Health and Social Care profession
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to adapt and address situations quickly.
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and well-being.
- Willingness to learn and undertake professional development and qualifications in Health and Social Care (QCF).
- Clean Enhanced DBS Check.
