Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., one of the world's largest insurance brokers, provides a full range of retail and wholesale property/casualty (P/C) brokerage and alternative risk transfer services globally.

The Insurance Broker Accounting (IBA) function provides core finance services to GGB via 200 staff based in Glasgow and another 200 based off shore. The function is going through a significant transformation of People, Process & Technology.

This is a new role for IBA and is a unique opportunity to help develop and embed a culture of Process Excellence / Process Improvement across the function.

Working closely with the Leadership Team to identify opportunities, while developing & training Managers & Team Members on Lean / 6 Sigma tools and techniques, identifying ‘waste’ in current processes, and facilitating projects for its removal.

Through the analysis of processes and pain points, this role will be responsible for identifying innovative ways of improving the efficiency of IBA and how we work with the Business.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Providing expertise on Lean / 6 Sigma tools & techniques - primarily focussed on operational improvement
- Work closely with the Leadership Team to identify opportunities, while developing & training Managers & Team Members on Lean / 6 Sigma tools and techniques
- Identify ‘waste’ in current processes, and facilitating projects for its removal
- Identify innovative ways of improving the efficiency of IBA
- Developing a Process Excellence mind-set through training and facilitation
- Conducting diagnostic analysis, developing high level and detailed design of future state processes and operating models, identifying performance metrics and supporting implementation
- Partnering with the owners of processes and products to drive forward meaningful change within the process to optimise improved business performance, customer experience and employee experience
- Leading on evolving a Process Excellence culture through introducing and managing a Process Improvement framework (identification, prioritisation, recognition and delivery)
- Supporting on ad-hoc initiatives and broader change programmes from a process, performance and continuous improvement perspective

**Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Degree qualified
- Insurance / Financial Services experience preferable
- Lean / Six Sigma (Black Belt) or similar qualifications
- Project Management PMP, Prince 2 or MSP certification desirable
- Excellent knowledge of business improvement and change management methodologies
- Experience of leading and developing a Process Excellence Culture in a similar sized function
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- A self-starter, time management and deadline driven; able to work with others to set and agree priorities, including when under timeline pressure, and monitor progress towards goals
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Ability to travel as required
