Looking for a business development role with a varied and energetic day?

Good at keeping your ear to the ground?

My client is looking for someone who can attract and retain Science and Technology based organisations, while balancing client needs with the objectives of the business.
- 37 hour Week
- £30-£40, 000 pa

You’ll need to:

- Employ your excellent listening skills
- Enjoy building client relationships and truly understanding client current and future needs
- Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships/networks with key stakeholders, e.g. the University, the City Council, trade organisations, business support professionals and clients
- Maintain the high profile of the business locally, nationally and internationally
- Support and improve the R&D capabilities of tenants, with an emphasis on increasing engagement with UoP
- Manage client accounts with a view to maximising revenues and delivering excellent client satisfaction
- Support targeting new tenants.
- Identify and nurture a pipeline of prospective tenants to maintain a portfolio of key accounts
- Maintain accurate and appropriate tenant records and business intelligence reports via NetSuite.
- Develop strong relationships with the University’s researchers and Research and Innovation
- Work closely with the City’s Economic Development team to promote the innovation culture and business support in the region
- Ensure internal and external enquiries for office and laboratory space are managed in a timely manner
- Liaise with Estates and ICT on the requirements of new and established tenants - including office furniture, telecoms, data, signage, etc.
- Efficiently manage complaints and client feedback relating to business development and strive to continually improve processes
- Support the development and delivery of investor readiness services and workshops with strategic partners

About you
- Be able to demonstrate progression with an organisation
- Have an open, warm and helpful approach to clients and colleagues
- Have an interest in Science and technology would be advantageous
