**What you’ll be doing**

In this role, you’ll be joining the Knowledge Services and Solutions, Sales team who work with their expert colleagues to identify customer needs in academia, practitioner, industry and corporate markets and build a solution to meet those needs.

As the Digital Content Editor, you’ll write, edit and prepare content for publication articles news and other material. You’ll lead on maintenance of the website, creating and maintaining social media channels and allocating budget to encourage growth andengagement.

**A little more about the role**
- To write, edit and prepare for publication articles, news, and other material
- To work closely with the Sales Team ensuring editorial content resonates with the business goals and KPI required
- To ensure adherence to the values, pillars, style guide and templates.
- To provide support to the Team in the upload, management and effective delivery of digital listings and advertising campaigns across the IET digital
- Creating and maintaining Social Media channels, adding new pages, and spending allocated budget to encourage growth and engagement - frequently populating them with relevant content and targeted posts)
- Working with the sales team to distribute weekly newsletters to members and non-members (approx. 200,000+ weekly recipients) Ensuring open rates, engagement, and revenue opportunities
- Approving print content with sales Managers
- Organisation of the print and online publication of advertising supplements. Liaising with the sales team, designers, advertisers and other journalists and contacts as well as flat planning and overall layout.
- Overall maintenance of the website and being the key contact for issues and changes
- Input in major E&T projects (new website and rebranding etc.)
- Working with Marketing on projects for (rebranding, hubs etc.)
- Writing and providing sponsored content for clients (both print and online), working closely with them to ensure the best communication strategy for their brand ensuring this resonates with our audience and media.
- To undertake travel to events and relevant sites for reporting purposes where necessary

**A little more about what we’re looking for**
- Previous editorial/journalist experience
- knowledge and understanding of social media and digital engagement
- Provide content to the highest editorial standards, with meticulous attention to detail
- Use of industry-standard editorial techniques and conventions
- Knowledge of print and digital publishing processes
- Good communication skills and planning to ensure a stream of material for future content
- Demonstration of good news sense and ability to identify relevant content
- Reporting experience on trade or business publication
- Knowledge of digital advertising serving technology and experience in effectively managing digital campaigns
