**What you’ll be doing**

As a Production Operative with IET.tv, you'll collaborate with camera operators and editors to create dynamic video content. From setting up and filming to editing diverse materials, you'll be an essential part of our production process. Based at our Stevenage Offices, Futures Place, and occasionally at other IET venues or third-party locations, your work will reach both internal and external clients through IET.tv and other video platforms.

In addition to content creation, you'll manage equipment, maintain studio spaces, and ensure smooth operations. Your role will involve preparing studios, overseeing equipment check-in/out, and resolving any technical issues.

**A little more about the role**
- Ensure that digital media, setup, and conduct is ready for filming.
- Ensure that batteries have been put on charge and are ready for shoots.
- To be responsible for:

- Preparing, cleaning and testing Cameras at FP
- Camera, light and autocue set up at within our FP studio spaces and office locations.
- Microphone and audio testing, including within our sound booth.
- Ensuring that kit is de-rigged, moved and stored correctly.
- Flag any issues with the senior camera operator/creative supervisors.
- To work as part of a team with both IET.tv internal production team and freelance camera operators working to IET.tv standards
- As required to film at all IET locations as well as external locations/venues.
- To perform backup and ingestion of filmed material to the IET.tv editing system and backup edited work daily to the online backup system
- Follow filming and editing instructions in the form of a written or verbal brief, an outline of footage, shot list, or script.
- Download, ingest and organise all footage in preparation for editing in line with IET.tv best practices.
- Deliver well organised rough-cut sequences based on a brief or direction from the Lead Editor or Creative Supervisor
- Deliver edited content that fulfils the project brief in the required format.
- Perform standard colour grading tasks including camera matching and white balancing.
- Perform standard audio processing tasks, including noise reduction and level matching.
- Follow IET and IET.tv branding guidelines and production/post-production workflow guidelines.
- Update the post-production workflow board daily.
- To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager.
