Our work can be found in almost every supermarket in the country.

**Job role -**

As an Accounts Assistant you will work closely with the team to keep the financial engine of an organisation running smoothly. It will also give you a chance to prove your mathematical prowess. In this role you will look after both the sales and purchase ledger and month end reconciliations. The role will also include learning our Management Information system to provide cover for other employees when absent. You will report in to the Head of Finance. The job is 36 hours per week Monday - Friday.

**Tasks you will be involved with include -**
- Coding and input of purchase and sales invoices in Sage.
- Check and confirm purchase invoice matching and approval when returned to accounts.
- Liaise with suppliers and resolve any invoice statement queries/issues.
- Confirm invoice on hold reports weekly with the Managers.
- Raise ad hoc cheque request paperwork for one-off invoices that do not have a supplier account.
- Raise new supplier/customer account paperwork where necessary.
- Ensuring that management receive timely, accurate and relevant information.
- Process all expenses.
- Manage the local petty cash box (including balance sheet reconciliations), verifying cash claims and arranging advances where necessary.
- Supporting reception duties and any other ad hoc duties as required.
- Filing and general office duties.

**Requirements of the jobholder -**
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred but not essential.
- A good working knowledge of Sage Accounts Line 50 is desirable.
- A competent level of IT skills is also highly desirable including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and some bookkeeping skills.
- You must be willing to work as part of a busy team.
- Willingness to support/teach other.
