**Overview**

The role is responsible for all aspects on maintenance and maturities for all SAYE events in Share Plans, maintenance, and general administration work for the clients’ records. This role will be responsible for all technical processes and needs to conform to all regulatory obligations including but not limited to the CASS rules applicable to the functions.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**

Operational Management
- Research and respond to incoming client or participant enquiries ensuring that complex issues are explained fully, using the appropriate written style in line with the client’s branding.
- Ensure administration is processed to internal and external service standards
- Feedback to Supervisor where standards may be compromised
- Ensure that all work is completed in line with Link’s “Treating Customers Fairly” policy at all times.
- Flexibility around busy periods and business demands
- Additional tasks as required
- Responsible for ongoing development and Mandatory Training
- Ensure that all complaints received are dealt with in accordance with the defined procedures
- Ensure that any incidents or breaches are reported in accordance with procedures
- Investigate and resolve any reconciliation issues, liaising with and reporting any issues to the Supervisor or Manager
- Ensure that work is carried out within agreed procedures and time frames so as to meet Link Group standards and those recognised at industry level
- Assist and deal with any ad-hoc duties within the department
- Drive the reduction in backlogs across department and assist in the introduction of new processes to prevent future backlogs better efficiency.

People Leadership
- Develop and maintain working relationships with other departments enabling completion of tasks and queries.

Governance & Risk
- Ensure key controls are carried out within the month they are due and that any issues highlighted or addressed are followed through to resolution
- Ensure full compliance with internal and external procedures and FCA regulations including the CASS rules.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Ideally IOC qualified (or willing to become qualified);
- Proven ability supervising large operational teams;
- Experience allocating work and supervising team performance;
- Working knowledge of PRISM, MSL and stock transfer processes;
- Working knowledge of the UK equities settlement system (CREST);
- A positive approach and desire to improve processes and team performance;
