This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medicine and Emergency Care division as an Assistant HR Partner. The post will involve assisting the HR Partner with general HR tasks such as supporting with health and attendance, employee relations, Recruitment and Selection, additional work related to Covid and providing training to line managers.

The role is to support all aspects in the management of sickness absence within the dedicated division, cross covering other divisions where required. The post holder will make significant contribution across the operational Workforce and OD function by supporting HR Partners in playing a key role in shaping the strategic workforce direction of the Trust. To support the development, implementation and embedding of corporate Workforce and OD strategies, plans, policies and practice on the ground within their dedicated division.

All the details are in the job description, but in summary you will have a broad and varied role as an Assistant HR partner. You’ll always be busy, but the work is really interesting and rewarding. You’ll work closely with the Divisional HR partner, but may also support other divisions at times too. In the HR role you’ll be here for our people, and our primary aim is to help create a great place for everyone to work.

We’re really open minded and embrace change, so please bring along your ideas and enthusiasm.

Ideally you will have a post graduate diploma in HR (CIPD) Management or equivalent or be working towards it and experience of working in a HR role and supporting line managers in delivering the HR agenda.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
