Our Central Services teams support Pinnacle’s operating businesses by providing professional support to the operational business including: Compliance and Audit, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Health and Safety.

**The Role - Health & Safety Advisor**

To assist in delivering a full Health and Safety service, supporting all parts of the business and providing advice in a business focused, consistent and timely way.

Specifically, they will provide advice and support to all Pinnacle colleagues by ensuring health, and safety practices are identified and implemented in line with our company values, and in accordance with Group’s Health and Safety Policy, acting on identifiedrisks as and when required, helping to ensure a safe working environment for our people and those affected by our actions including visitors, residents, pupils / teachers and contractors, across housing stock, schools, depots and offices.

**Duties/Key Responsibilities**
- To ensure that Health and Safety requirements are set and met throughout the company
- To advise, support and train managers in the Management of Health and Safety
- Advise colleagues of current legislation and good practice to enable them to carry out their duties and exercise their responsibilities,
- To carry out regular Health and Safety Audits, predominately within London and surrounding areas, to ensure that Pinnacle’s policies are being adhered to and that the company is compliant with the law
- To assist in the preparation of Health and Safety operational strategies including review of Policy, statement and Health and Safety Manual sections
- Coordinate and attend local Health and Safety Committee meetings across the company
- Report regional issues to the Health and Safety committee and local management as necessary
- Where necessary, prepare reports for each Contract
- To assist the Health and Safety Manager, and other team members in continuously improving the Health and Safety Management system and service to our colleagues
- To support Health and Safety Manager in reviewing all documents within Health and Safety remit
- Support Group Health and Safety team in CHAS and ISO45001 - preparing for assessment ensuring compliance targets and external accreditations are met and maintained
- Responsibility for reviewing risk and COSHH assessments with line managers
- Review accident and near miss reporting including RIDDORs and investigations
- Review and update COSHH database with Health and Safety Team
- Review and update audiometry testing programme and make the necessary appointments as appropriate
- To meet with client where necessary

**Skills Required**:

- Qualified to minimum of TechIOSH level (desired)
- Demonstrable work experience of successfully operating in an equivalent role (desired)
- Full UK driver’s licence
- Ability to manage own workload effectively and make decisions based upon priority and level of risk - either to business or individual
- Ability to work as part of a team or on their own
- Good presentation and training skills
- Good written skills and be familiar with Office 365 - including Teams, SharePoint etc.
