Directly responsible to: Sales Office Manager.
- Liaison with: Sales Representatives, Warehouse and all departments.

**Brief**
- To ensure that the principle function of processing all sales telephone calls is carried out.
- To ensure that all Sales Office procedures are laid out in the Working Practices and Operations Manuals are followed at all times.
- To promote the core company values of timeliness, communication, quality, accountability, liability, and customer service both externally and internally.
- To maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- To meet all attendant objectives.

**Elements**

**_Sales Enquiry and Order Processing_**
- To ensure that all Sales Orders and Enquires are processed in an accurate and efficient manner taking due regard to the credit rating of the customer and indirect costs of the sale.
- To ensure that upon request, the progress of outstanding customer orders are carried out with minimum delay.

**_Pro-active Selling Activity_**
- To take responsibility for the account management of a specified number of customers, and engage in pro-active selling methods wherever appropriate.
- To ensure that all outstanding enquires are followed up in the appropriate manner.

**_Customer Services_**
- To ensure that all customer complaints, requests for collections and requests for credit are carried out accurately and efficiently using the correct computer programmes.
- To encourage goods customer relations always using a polite, considerate and helpful manner.
- To ensure that the Sales Representative is kept informed of any requests made by the customer that may require their involvement.
- To ensure that any market information received is passed on to the National Sales Manager, via the Sales Office Manager.

**_Credit Control_**
- To ensure that all requests for credits are assessed and dealt with in an accurate and timely manner.

**_Miscellaneous and Administration Duties_**
- To ensure that the daily discrepancy report is analysed and acted upon.
- To ensure that all filing, mailing and other associated clerical duties are carried out.
- To continually assess objectives assigned to you.
- To assist in the reception, induction and training of all new recruits to the Sales Office.
- To assist in ensuring the security and condition of the workplace and site is maintained in good order as laid out In the Operations Manual.
- To ensure that all operations are carried out within the appropriate Health and Safety Legislation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
