Our Public Sector client based in Aberdeen are looking to recruit a HSE Coordinator on a full-time, temporary basis for 6 months. This position will play a key role in assisting with H&S issues at both the Head Office facility and coordinating H&S improvement activities for the teams working across Scotland. This role offers hybrid working and a pay rate of £15.12 p/h.

Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

- Assisting in the maintenance and development of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Assist with incident investigations, site H&S audits and action tracking against any identified opportunities for improvements.
- Monitoring H&S training and occupational health assessments under the charge of the team.
- Act as first point of contact for H&S issues when HSE Manager is not present.
- Maintain the incident database, monitor preventative actions, trends and lessons learned.
- Assist with the development and operation of the yearly HSE plan, delivering the agreed aims and objectives of the plan.
- Maintenance of records and files as required.
- Assist in management of risk assessments and implementing controls.
- Provide H&S information to stakeholders.
- Assist with the operation of the HSE e-learning process.
- Represent on matters relating to H&S (in the absence of the HSE Manager) at organisational, regulatory or industry meetings.
- Engage with Operations Field Coordinators to ensure internal monitoring is carried out in line with requirements.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or similar).
- Other H&S trainings / certificates are also desirable, e.g., including PAT Assessor, DSE Assessor, Fire Warden, Emergency First Aid at Work, and Incident Investigation.
- The individual must be highly proficient in both verbal and written communication to deliver effectively on H&S aspects with clear and accurate information.
- Operating within busy environment
- Uses systematic approach to make efficient use of time and manage workload, prioritising own work effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
