**Kamsons Pharmacy Bell Farm Road Uckfield are recruiting**

**Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm (with a one hour unpaid lunch break) but we are willing to consider part time and job share applicants.**

**Starting rate of pay: Up to £10.80 per hour
- This will increase to up to £11.50 per hour on successful completion of NVQ Level 2 dispensing assistant course.**

Within 3-6months of starting the role you will have the opportunity to undertake and work towards an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course*
- **Main roles and responsibilities will include**:_
- Label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Ensure the safe supply and appropriate storage of medicines.
- Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste.
- Create and update patient medication records in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Assist where necessary with the preparation of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
- Accurately check patient declarations on prescriptions and send data correctly to the NHS to ensure maximum payments are received with mínimal losses.
- Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
- Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary and back shop areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives.
- Liaise with local surgeries and other healthcare professionals and handle queries regarding medication supply to ensure patients with medication and healthcare needs are met.
- Participate in the delivery of any additional healthcare services for which you will have received adequate training.
