**Job overview**:
We are looking for someone who is able to work under their own initiative, to motivate and encourage patients within a positive and active environment. The role will require good motivational and physical activity skills and the ability to use own initiative to provide activities. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide meaningful activities for patients.

Individuals who are self-motivated and can work independently are encouraged to apply.

**Main duties of the job**:
We are recruiting for a full time Activity Coordinator to join our team on Oak Ward. The postholder will provide meaningful activities for the patients who are admitted to the ward. The activities could include exercises, crafts, games and mental stimulation.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently, to motivate and to encourage patients within a positive and active environment. The role will require good creative skills and the ability to use own initiative to provide activities for patients with varying abilities. You will be part of the nursing team and wider multidisciplinary team.

Liskeard Community Hospital is a busy community hospital with a variety of services including an MIU department, out-patient department, Xray and two wards.
