Oxford, United Kingdom Oxford Hub Full time

**Learning and Culture Officer**
**Salary**: £22,000 | **Duration**: 12 months, starting January 2023 | **Hours**: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

(degree of flexible working required) | **Location**: Oxford Hub offices in Little Clarendon Street and Blackbird Leys Community Centre (optional 1 day per week remote)

**About Oxford Hub**
Oxford Hub is a local charity, working to make Oxford better for everyone. We run community volunteering programmes and support local communities to tackle inequality. Our staff team brings together people with a diverse set of skills and experience, including lived experience of the inequalities we’re tackling. We rarely work alone - instead, we bring about change in collaboration with others, including local residents, university students, local charities and public sector partners.

We are looking for a Learning and Culture Officer to develop a learning programme that supports the different members of our staff team to shine, as well as strengthen our connections with local partners.

This role will help shape the Oxford Hub offices, ensuring they are a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds working together to make a positive difference in our city.

**Responsibilities**:
Working closely with the Team and Culture Lead, and collaborating across the Oxford Hub staff team, you would focus on three different areas:
**1. Learning programme for early-career professionals in the Oxford charity sector**
Over the past three years we have been evolving our former graduate programme and adapting it to the current needs of the sector. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the programme and cultivating a network of early career professionals in Oxford’s Charity sector.
- Project management of all aspects of the programme
- Review of current programme content and previous programme feedback
- Coordinate learning sessions, including liaising with trainers and facilitators and arranging venues and timings
- Publicise the programme and recruit participants from other local organisations
- Evaluate the programme and implement any necessary changes
- Develop a plan for long-term sustainability for the programme

**2. Learning and Development at Oxford Hub**
As an organisation, we focus on the development of our staff, members and volunteers, so that they can be more effective changemakers and advance equality across Oxford City. In this role, you will help

organise, host and deliver a diverse programme of training sessions and other learning opportunities, such as study visits to other organisations, or sessions with external speakers.
- Support the Team and Culture Lead with organising and delivering team days, training days, socials and inductions
- Support Programme Managers with volunteer training and onboarding

**3. Supporting spaces for social change**
We are a place-based organisation, which means that we work from our offices or other community settings, where we can connect with local people and partners. In this role, you will help build a positive office culture post-pandemic and support staff to make the best use of the space.
- Continually improve our offices so that they can support the delivery of our activities and provide a good place to work (e.g. updating information displays, making suggestions for changes to the space, maintaining the office rota)
- Oversee office calendar, ensuring the spaces are ready for internal and external events
- Foster team spirit and support our in-person working culture, for example by running a team lunch once a month in the office
- Welcome visitors to the offices and support our outreach across the city through hosting events in partnership with other staff and volunteers
- Manage the office budget with support from your manager

You will be a key member of the Oxford Hub staff team, and as such are also expected to:

- Attend regular team meetings
- Deal with all matters sensitively and discreetly at all times abiding by relevant confidentiality and data protection policies
- Share and develop best practice with other members of the team and partners
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected as part of this role

**Requirements**:
This role is a great development opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about the charity sector, and would like to have an impact through supporting skills development, capacity building and teamwork in the local charity sector.

Oxford Hub and through the Rank Foundation Time to Shine development programme. You will be managed by the Team and Culture Lead, with regular opportunities for mentoring and peer support.

We are committed to offering progression opportunities in the organisation where possible and former Time to Shine programme participants have progressed to other roles in the organisation.

To thrive in this role at Oxford Hub, we are looking for these essential skills:

- **You are passionate about making a difference **- maki
