**Summary of the role**
- The University of Exeter has invested in the construction of a brand-new imaging facility as a collaboration with the NHS on the site of the Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RDUH). Alongside capital investment from the University, a large philanthropic donation of £10 million has been made to create the Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre - a conjoined MRI and PET-CT imaging facility for both research and clinical outputs. The facility contains both a 3T MRI scanner and a PET-CT scanner, used for research and clinical work. Both scanners are used by the NHS and the University. The new facility underpins the University aims to provide state of the art platforms to enhance multi-disciplinary research programmes.
- The Facilities Coordinator will be based on-site and will have a key role in managing the day-today operation of the facility, with oversight and coordination responsibilities for both scanners. The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the Centre Director, Lead for Operations, Lead for Imaging Methodologies, Lead for Clinical Applications, Lead Technologist for PET-CT and MRI. They will also work closely with stakeholders within the Royal Devon University Hospital Trust imaging service and researchers within the University to deliver streamlined operations.

- The **Research Services Division** is a key enabler to the delivery of the University’s Strategy 2030, the Research and Impact Strategy, successful REF performances, and meeting research income targets.
- This role is within the **Technical Strategy & Operations** part of the Division. We are research and teaching technical staff across the entirety of the University of Exeter. We work in specialist areas across the University and beyond, undertaking and supporting research and teaching and promoting compliance and best practice, in the labs, studios, workshops, and field.
