**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- To plan, implement and evaluate improvement processes for the plant.
- Participate in the definition of the local OPEX Improvement Strategy.
- Develop and execute implementation plan for OPEX Improvement Strategy.
- Regularly report progress against plan to local Management and key stakeholders
- Facilitate and participate in improvement projects including Kaizen and SMED workshops.
- Support process owners to implement new tools and improvement projects.
- Ensure that ALPLA systems are implemented to the required standards
- Provide training to plant employees on OPEX and supporting tools.
- Create, identify and implement Good Practices using ALPLA Good Practice sharing platform.
- Participate in improvement workshops & training in other plants in the Region.
- Create and deliver communication plan for local participants and regional stakeholders.
- Facilitate periodic completion of an OPEX Assessment for the plant.
- To perform any other duties requested by the line manager from time to time that are consistent with the purpose of the job / specific function.

**Experience**:
- Delivery of structured improvement programmes in high volume plastic packaging manufacture or similar industry
- Knowledge and sound understanding of improvement tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Problem solving.
- Communication planning and delivery for participants and stakeholders.
- Application of involvement and engagement processes in a lean manufacturing environment.
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Demonstrated practitioner of tools
- Recognised certification Lean Six Sigma or equivalent (desirable)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Improvement and problem-solving techniques
- Effective communication skills
