What you will be doing as a Claims Handler:

- Provide timely and professional service to clients in managing pre-litigated cases within the motor department.
- Negotiate claims related to liability and damages within specified limits for pre-litigation cases.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients, demonstrating expertise aligned with your experience.
- Enhance your technical knowledge through training and relevant reading materials.
- Ensure strategies align with case values and remain informed about the firm's plans.
- Adhere to internal and external service level agreements, following data security protocols.
- Maintain accurate management information records.
- Achieve individual financial targets based on work type, charging basis, and experience.

What experience do you need as a Claims Handler:

- Prior customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organisational skills, including prioritisation and managing caseloads under pressure.
- Analytical ability to review evidence, identify issues, and inconsistencies.
- Balancing legal principles with commercial considerations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer communication.
- Resilience for navigating telephone negotiations and receiving constructive feedback.
- Aptitude for learning and integrating new skills into claims handling capabilities.
