£20,806 per annum while training (expected to take around 3 months), increasing to £24,092 on qualification

HENRY is an innovative and flourishing national charity that is making a real difference to the lives of young children and their families.

We are seeking a Trainee Infant Feeding Practitioner to train with us in order to provide excellent infant feeding support to families in our established service in Blackpool.

The service works closely with Blackpool Teaching Hospital Trust, health partners and local family hubs to drive a significant and permanent shift in Blackpool towards increased and sustained breastfeeding. We aim to support more responsive and safer bottle feeding and a later, healthier introduction of solid foods. We support families with both breastfeeding and bottle-feeding through our infant feeding helpline and individual follow up. A range of group workshops is offered, including the introduction of solid foods and our website provides easy access to information.

You will have an empathic and caring approach with a willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge which supports parents to give babies the best start in life. You will be able to build and maintain trusting relationships with our health and infant feeding partners. HENRY is an organisation with a strong culture rooted in development, self-reflection, partnership and learning.

We offer hybrid working between a shared office space in FY1, available 9-5 Mon-Fri and where practically possible, working from home. You will travel within the local area to shadow our Infant Feeding Practitioners as they provide infant feeding support, deliver workshops and undertake outreach at different locations as well as attending meetings with partners when relevant.
