**Housing Sustainment Coordinator (Homeless)**

**LOCATION**: Tunbridge Wells

**SALARY**: £12.33 - £13.88 inclusive of holiday

**DURATION**:Temp - Perm

**HOURS**: 37.5hrs per week

(**Monday - Friday** 9am-5pm)

**Day-to-day duties**:

- Interview, assess and recommend acceptance or refusal of applicants into the service.
- Admit, induct, and settle new residents into the accommodation.
- Manage a caseload of residents and maintain a working knowledge of all other current residents.
- Deliver support in a sensitive, inclusive, and respectful manner in line with Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma Informed Care (TIC) approaches, focussing on the empowerment of service users to gain independence and re-able them to move-on appropriately within given timeframes.
- Complete and regularly update Support Plans and Risk Assessment ensuring the resident is a partner in goal setting and risk management.
- Maintain an understanding of the DWP benefits system in order to work with service users to maximise benefit entitlements and avoid sanctions.
- Work with service users, both in work and unemployed on budgeting where necessary to ensure that their rent is paid so that residents avoid eviction due to arrears.
- Deliver, develop and contribute to the Pathway Programme, identifying the best individual pathway to support and/or treatment options that will enable residents to overcome barriers to independence.
- Deliver, develop, and contribute to our Tenancy Training Programme.
- Assess your service users’ readiness for independent living, in association with the Support Team.
- Facilitate the transition from shared supported living to independent living.
- Provide outreach tenancy support for a period of time after move-on.

**Essentials**:

- DBS within the last 12 months (must have original copy)
- Previous Housing related support
- Worked with vulnerable adults within semi-independent living or hostels

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience working with the homeless
