**HR Business Partner - About the role**

As part of a growing People team, you will help to ensure that we build and protect a great culture and continue to be a great place to work. As HRBP, you will partner with the business to find effective solutions for people challenges, providing best practiceHR advice, guidance, and support to our management team and employees.

You will implement HR initiatives and solutions with a focus on consistency of people practices across the business, advising line managers on both non-contentious and contentious employment matters including (but not limited to) talent management, performancemanagement, capability, disciplinary, grievance, retention, and absence related issues. You will advise the management group on HR policies and processes, as well as helping to further develop and professionalise HR.

**HR Business Partner - Key duties**

Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, advising and supporting line managers and staff to ensure policies and procedures are embedded fully.

Help to build out and evolve the 'manager tool kit’ and proactively support the management team with people issues and challenges arising.

Facilitate engaging HR forums and partner with newly promoted managers (including participants of Aspiring Managers program) to provide best practice HR guidance and support.

Respond to, handle, and manage non-financial misconduct issues raised to HR, working with the HR leadership team to ensure matters are dealt with in line with regulatory requirements.

Embed and foster great employee relations through communication and consultation with employees on a day-to-day basis.

Be a primary "go to HR contact" for managers needing guidance on people management issues including advice for changes to employment terms, workforce planning, pay & rewards, performance objectives and appraisals, and general guidance with UK employmentlegislation.

Help ensure succession plans are in place for key roles working with line managers and the broader leadership team to identify and document succession plans for key roles.

Play a key role day to day in developing the visibility and presence of HR across the business and helping to understand what the key people and culture issues are that we should be focused on.

Take leadership of projects under our annual HR plan and people strategy and identify opportunities to continually improve our approach to HR delivery and employee experience.

Help to ensure that HR processes and practices are compliant with SM&CR (FCA) requirements (e.g., employment terms, Fit & Proper annual assessments, and conduct rule breach reporting).

Work with the HR Manager and L&D Manager to support ongoing development of practical and effective leadership development programs for line managers and aspiring managers.

Identify opportunities to engage with the business on relevant people, culture and HR topics.

**HR Business Partner - Key requirements**

Global exposure would be highly advantageous

Must have previous HRBP role experience as an HR generalist within a financial services environment (ideally within a 500+ headcount organisation).

Experience of partnering with line managers across the full spectrum of HR including performance and talent management, employee on-boarding, probation management, pay & rewards, investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, terminations and absence management.

Proven experience of solving both contentious and non-contentious HR issues and partnering with business units to develop and embed effective HR solutions.

Good knowledge and experience of working with FCA conduct rules and SM&CR requirements.
