We are looking for a **Commercial Assistant **to join our friendly and dynamic team in Colchester, Essex You don't need to have much experience if you are eager and willing to learn new skills, however you would need to be have a good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.

- Load jobs to planning board ensuring timings and details are correct.
- Update planning board in line with production output, highlighting any significant time lost against plan.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products
- Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Maintain Master tracker advising on schedule delays.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Create schedules for new jobs in line with customer requirements and internal capacities.
- Liaise with outworkers and ensure agreed dates are being met.
- Source outwork prices and create POR’s for approval.
- Ensure appropriate communications are conducted daily to operations, quality, engineering, warehouse and customer service departments.
- Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Conduct formal handovers to ensure that plant conditions meet appropriate standards necessary for the attainment of safety, quality, and production objectives.
- Maintain Operational KPI reports on weekly basis.
- Identify anomalous data; examine and eliminate any processes or procedures that contribute to unreliable data being collected.
- Learn estimating function and assist Technical Analyst as required Liaison with other production planners to ensure smooth production process between the sites.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent mathematical skills, particularly in statistics and planning
- Analytical skills, numeracy skills and advanced computer skills
- Attention to detail.
- Organisational and communication skills
- Ability to quickly interpret and compare data
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Strong desire and curiosity to learn different systems.
- Understanding of database design and management, including Pivot Table, SQL, and data modelling would be beneficial.
