The Planner will be responsible for maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures combined with ensuring the most effective routes in terms of cost and vehicle utilization for the Grangemouth fleet. They will work closely with the General Manager, sales and supply teams to ensure fuel deliveries are made to customers on time and in the most cost effective and efficient way.

This is position is not remote. Must be able to report to the office in Staines.

Key responsibilities
- Record office expenditure and maintain supplies of stationery and equipment.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints.
- Review and update health and safety policies and ensure they're observed. Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies.
- Identify new potential customers and approach them with our offering.
- Analyze customer demand and assigning the most optimal route to deliver product to client site.
- Planning supply routes.
- Managing transportation costs and vehicle utilization through scheduling of internal and external vehicles.
- Liaison with internal sales and supply/pricing teams to match supply with demand.
- Liaison and relationship management with internal and external transport providers.
- Forming potential solutions to transport problems.
- Evaluating the benefits and costs of different supply routes.
- Staying up to date with current fleet inventory and deploying efficiently and effectively.
- Regularly monitor and analyses transport costs and volume.

**Experience**:

- Work experience gained as an office manager / vehicle planner is highly desirable.
- Experience with a vehicle routing system is desirable.
- Analytical work experience is essential.

**Skills**:

- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Strong knowledge and awareness of UK geography is essential.
- Can work using your own initiative.
