JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood in Staines is looking for a Lead/Principal Planner to join our team on an agency basis (outside IR35) for an initial 12-month term.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting the delivery of front-end engineering design (FEED) and EPCIC schedule development for a project in the Danish sector of the North Sea. This project involves the creation of new greenfield topsides and enhancements to existing facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse engineering teams and overseeing all planning and progress reporting activities related to delivering FEED for offshore greenfield and brownfield production and processing facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the Level 3 FEED Schedule in Primavera P6 following the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Manage and advance the baseline project schedule
  • Oversee and coordinate all planning activities
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams, and other stakeholders as needed, to stay informed about project activities, their status, and their impact on schedules and manpower needs
  • Prepare project FEED Schedule copies complying with reporting requirements
  • Generate project progress and performance reports as per project reporting standards
  • Review updates on project manpower requirements
  • Evaluate and communicate the effects of change notifications on project schedules
  • Track overall project progress, major milestone achievements, and project performance against planned targets
  • Participate in internal project progress and performance status meetings
  • Work with cost discipline to ensure accurate control and forecasting of man-hour budgets, and incorporate all change requests in schedules
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to formulate an EPCIC schedule for tendering during the EPCIC phase
  • Engage in schedule risk analysis when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience in planning and scheduling
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Primavera P6 planning software
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases
  • Team player willing to exchange ideas with team members from various disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and literacy skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
