**About the Team**

Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) combines its large and diverse teaching portfolio with a similarly growing and diverse research portfolio, including recurrent external research funding. In addition to annual core budgets and general income of c. £19m pa, it routinely secures external funding for projects with a total financial value of c. £1.9m pa.

ECA holds a Bronze Athena SWAN award in recognition of our commitment to advance gender equality in higher education.

The Research Excellence Framework 2021 provided recognition of the School’s research across 3 Units of Assessment, in all of which Edinburgh was ranked (on the QI Power Index) as 6th in the UK for Art, Design and History of Art. In Music we are placed 15 th. Our joint submission with Heriot Watt University in Architecture, Built Environment and Planning places us 4th.
