South Kensington, United Kingdom Imperial College London Full time

If you want to play a key role in enrolling a diverse student body who will thrive at one of the top 10 universities in the world, then we want to hear from you.

We’re seeking a dynamic leader who will lead all aspects of all operational processes relating to the admission of students across all levels of study, from overseeing the daily operations of the central admissions team to developing robust admissions policies.

You will be a strategic thinker who understands the current challenges impacting the higher education sector and who can work closely with departmental Admissions Tutors and professional services staff to find innovative solutions and future proof the university’s admissions approach.

Imperial is unique in the UK as the only university to specialise solely in science, engineering, medicine and business.

Based at our South Kensington Campus (with hybrid working an option), you will have the chance to work with academic staff who are world-class leaders in their field. This is a particularly exciting time to join the team as we embark on new initiatives including the introduction of a new university-wide admissions and CRM platform and a strategy that will set our vision and ambition for the next two decades.

If you have substantial experience in building admissions programmes and a commitment to championing outstanding customer service, and diversity and inclusion at every level, then you could be just who we’re looking for.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and responsibilities is key in this role. In addition, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Lead, develop and train a team of central admissions experts.
- Make strategic and operational decisions to ensure execution of efficient and student-focused admissions processes.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all internal and external policies, and the recruitment priorities of our faculties and departments.
- Lead admissions policy development.
- Provide authoritative advice to internal stakeholders and work with them to ensure admissions processes are being implemented in a student-centric way.
- Lead a programme of continuous process improvement that aligns policy, procedure, and Imperial’s priorities around diversification and applicant experience.
- Ensure the provision of outstanding front-line services.
- Develop high-quality management information and reports.

**Essential requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience of being responsible for leadership roles.
- Experience of leading record and information systems within a university or similar institution.
- Detailed knowledge of the university admissions process and policy/regulatory issues.
- A consistent track record of achieving measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to customer service with a continuous focus on improvement.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to empower others.
- Ability to handle multiple database systems.
- Ability to train and support other staff members, using tact and diplomacy to deliver feedback.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and reporting skills.
- Demonstrable evidence of strategic and problem-solving skills.

**Further information**:
The post is offered on a full-time, open-ended contract.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the post-holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
