Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) is the new brand of Magnox Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

As the Lead Data Architect, you will oversee the programme’s data workstream which will redesign and deliver a new target data architecture for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), delivering significant benefits to NRS through the implementation of organisation wide platforms, improvement in data management and the rationalisation of the IT estate._
- You will lead a dedicated team of professionals and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the successful deployment and utilisation of this critical technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our asset management practices, driving operational efficiency, and supporting our mission._

**Key Deliverables**:

- Develop and own the data transformation functional specification, ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements are captured.
- Develop and own the NRS asset data strategy with respect to enterprise asset management, ensuring alignment to wider NRS business and IT strategies and overarching NDA group strategies, including obtaining the necessary support and approvals.
- Responsible for producing and identifying standards, policies and processes to support the data strategy.
- Design and implement risk-based data governance processes to ensure the data strategy, regulations and security policies are adhered with, to minimise risk exposure to the EAM programme and ultimately the NRS.
- Work with the Technology Workstream Lead to develop a target architecture fit for the future of NRS, taking into consideration master data management, access to data, user requirements and core business drivers.
- Support the selection, customisation, and successful implementation of a new Enterprise Asset Management System.
- Work with the Technology Workstream Lead develop transitional data solution architectures to enable the successful migration of data from the existing IT estate to the target architecture, taking into account; key business drivers, the need for data rationalisation, system consolidation, data archiving and cost.
- Identifying and assessing threats and opportunities related to the transformation of NRS asset management data, including implementing action plans to mitigate the risks.
- Guide third-party suppliers on NRS data governance processes during onboarding and acting as a reviewer to their outputs to ensure compliance and the smooth running of the EAM programme.
- Owning the responsibility for delivering the system configuration in respect of asset master data including all the necessary attributes within the solution.
- Responsible for the transformation of current systems data into the new EAM, ensuring quality and compliance is assured through each step of the process both initially as the solution is configured and onwards through site roll out.
- Identifying and supporting the management of any interdependencies with other ongoing or planned data activities (in BAU or planned/in-flight projects).
- Design and implement processes to manage and drive improvements in data quality throughout asset management data (Accuracy, Completeness, Reliability, Relevance, Timeliness).
