We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive / Account Manager to join a close-knit team in Berkeley, Gloucestershire.
Our client has been a leading manufacturer in their sector for nearly 30 years, all products are extensively tried and tested within on-site facilities by highly trained technical staff.
As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers and seeking out new business opportunities. The role will involve client visits and you will be responsible for achievingsales targets. In this position, you will typically work with 90% existing customers, and 10% new business sales.
Duties of the Business Development / Account Manager
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities; including researching potential clients, understanding their needs, and developing strategies to secure new business.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients: This includes regularly communicating with clients, understanding their needs, and identifying new opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and competitors: This includes staying informed about the latest developments in the industry and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
- Keeping accurate records and providing regular reports on sales activities, results, and future to management.
- Negotiating, upselling, and closing deals: This includes working with potential clients to understand their needs, agreeing on orders

**Salary**: £27,000-£30,000 plus commission £10k+
