Glasgow, United Kingdom RECRUITMENTiQ Full time

RECRUITMENTiQ is supporting a business that has a partnership with 14 Scottish higher education institutions offering world-class capabilities and resources in the field of energy research and development.

Strathclyde University is our administrative and physical host. As part of our governance structure, we have representation from across the organisation's academic partners as well as a wider stakeholder community.

We are looking for a motivated, proactive and commercially aware Innovation Engagement Officer to support Scotland’s Hydro Nation Energy Innovation Programme (HNEIP), a 4-year programme to forge relationships between pioneering Scottish companies and Scottish universities to develop innovative products and processes in the water sector.

**The Role**

You will work closely with Scotland’s Hydro Nation Chair at the University of Stirling, as well as with the Scottish Government and Scottish Water, to grow the Scottish industry-academic “water innovation programme community”. You will also drive a programme of funded industry-academic projects which create innovative new water products and processes.

This is a perfect opportunity for a highly self-motivated Innovation Engagement Officer to make a key contribution to Scottish research, and to Scotland’s water economy.

Working as a member of the existing Business Development Team you will be responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships across the Energy & Water sector that lead to impactful, income-generating partnerships with businesses and academia that broadly support the mission of our business and the Scottish Government’s Hydro Nation programme.

A key aspect of this broad role will be facilitating successful business-university collaborations, identifying EU, UK & International funding opportunities for such collaboration and driving these bids to successful completion, developing networks, as well as stimulating innovative advanced manufacturing projects and cross-disciplinary collaborations that support Energy research with other areas of expertise within the University alliance.

Although the post will be based in Glasgow, travel to our 14 partner Universities and visits to companies and related organisations, across Scotland will be required.

**Skills and Experience**
- Business Development expertise and experience, preferably (though not necessarily) in a higher education environment
- A genuine interest in the development of renewable energy technologies and their links to zero carbon emissions in Scotland

**Benefits**
- Access to the generous University pension scheme
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- A fabulous modern working environment in the city centre with easy access to transport hubs
- Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (when not travelling on business)
- Being part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team
- Opportunity to travel
- Laptop and mobile phone
- Staff rates at university facilities and courses e.g. gym, sports, evening classes etc.

Taking on the role of a highly proactive Innovation Engagement Officer working on related energy themes, you'll be expected to quickly bring the HNEIP to life by supporting businesses and academics with joint project ideas.

In addition to a highly competitive salary and benefits package, we provide continuous learning and development opportunities within an excellent professional working environment.

If you have the required experience and are interested in this opportunity, then please send your CV and cover letter now.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
