**Context of the Role**

The Head of Strategic Project and Programme Delivery will be accountable for the delivery of the following professional services to the University:

- Ensure adherence to Strategic Programme & Project Management including project definition, resource management, risk & issue management and reporting.
- Ensuring excellent delivery performance through adherence to the SCO methodology.
- Growing the capability and maturity of the Delivery team to ensure that delivery of key initiatives, milestones and ultimately benefits are realized.
- Mitigation and unblocking of key risks and issues.
- Enhanced quality of delivery through the creation of credible plans and high quality business cases.
- Working with key delivery partners within the Finance, People & OD, Comms, Procurement and IT Services teams to support delivery.
- Working from the vision backwards in order to ensure the right focus is placed on key delivery activities.
