**Job Summary**: Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a Property Company based in London that are seeking a Deputy Head of Commercial Property Management. As the Deputy Head of Commercial Property Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing an extensive portfolio of commercial assets and will work in conjunction with the Head of Commercial Property Management, to be responsible for managing a team of 20 property and facilities managers and ensuring the smooth operation of the portfolio. The role will be based out of the clients London office 5 days per week.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of property and facilities managers, ensuring optimal performance and fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the commercial properties, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to maximise the value and performance of the commercial property portfolio.
- You will assist the Head of the department in day to day refurbishment and tenant alterations
- You will have responsibility for your own portfolio of assets to manage on a day to day basis
- Work closely with the Commercial lettings team to ensure the vacant unitsbuildings are in a lettable condition
- Work with the residential management team, where there are residential as well as commercial tenants.
- Proactively identify and address property management issues, such as maintenance, repairs, and tenant concerns, to maintain high tenant satisfaction and property performance.
- Manage property budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximising revenue opportunities.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- At least 10 years property management experience, with ideally a few years in a leadership capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in commercial property management, with a demonstrated track record of managing large portfolios and delivering results.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience in leading and motivating a team of property and facilities managers.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to optimise property performance and value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, tenants, and service providers.
- Sound knowledge of commercial property regulations, leasing practices, and financial management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
