Countrywide are seeking driven and professional credit control and debt recovery specialists to join our rent and legal insurance department, based in our Support Centre in Annesley. The role will involve the management of tenant rent accounts and liaising with both tenants, guarantors and landlords (both over the telephone and in writing) regarding rental charges and payments. Experience in residential rent credit control preferred but not essential.

The role of a Credit Controller:

- You should have first class customer service skills to handle often contentious situations where tact and diplomacy are necessary.
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Take detailed notes of all conversations and actions taken, as these can often be required for future legal action.
- Arranging payment plans to recover rent arrears that are acceptable to both landlord and tenant, and monitoring these to ensure they are fulfilled.
- Produce accurate Rent Account Reports to clearly demonstrate how rent arrears have arisen over the duration of a tenancy.
- In an industry such as property, compliance is key, therefore you will need to study and gain our industry-recognised qualification for which full support is provided.

In order to develop our colleagues, provide a high quality service and work towards regulation, all colleagues who join us are required to hold the a Level 3 qualification in their specialist area (sales or lettings). If you don't already have this qualification you will be required to study for it, and Countrywide will support you to achieve the required standards.

This role is based our Support Centre with no physical contact with our customers. The office runs strict COVID-19 precautions with masks required when walking around the office and socially distanced desk locations.
