**Job Purpose**:
The Technology Regulatory Lead has a focus on understanding, coordinating reporting on and actioning regulatory requirement and requests. The purpose of this role is to assure the continuous compliance of ESO Technology with our business plan commitments.

You will work directly with ESO Portfolio team to build business plans and use reporting to monitor, manage and improve compliance. You will work with stakeholder across business delivery, technology delivery and regulatory strategy to meet the expectations set by the executives and Ofgem

**Key Accountabilities**:
The Technology Regulatory Lead is accountable for:

- Assure ESO Technology complies to regulatory requirements such as any technology guidance and regulatory submissions deadlines (e.g. Digital Strategy)
- Work with the Planning and Consulting Manager to report to the regulator and actioning requests
- Proactively monitor and improve compliance management
- Shape the narrative with Planning and Consulting Manager plus the ESO Regulatory team
- Second point of contact with OFGEM and BEIS
- Coordinate regulatory replies such as BP2, FSO and associated deliverables. Manage a team of contractors to achieve outcomes and drive all other teams to provide quality input.
- Maintain and give awareness of all external engagement forums where Technology gets discussed (TAC, ERSG)
- Shape all external engagement forums where Technology gets discussed (stakeholder engagement strategy)
- Provide overview and traceability of key messages/decisions to use for main technology topics or technology investments

**Responsibilities**:
Core Responsibilities
- Champion’s compliance knowledge development across ESO Technology
- Working cross functionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to regulators
- Providing and cascading clear and robust action, following regulatory advice
- Tracking and reporting against regulatory commitments
- Building, maintaining, and enhancing working relationships with Product Leadership, specifically around roadmaps and reporting

Working across ESO Technology Responsibilities Include:

- Coordinating regulatory responses and submissions
- Partnering with Business, ESO Technology Leadership and Product Leadership in the development of strategic business plans and asks from the Regulators.
- Defining, agreeing, and reporting on business plans
- Working in partnership with the business and technology delivery leadership to ensure regulatory asks are understood and added to the backlog, if required.
- Providing regulatory and compliance guidance and assess non-compliance risk
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring procedures to assure compliance to regulations

**Experience Required**:

**What you'll get**:
A competitive salary between £49,000 - £70,000 - dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
