Fairmont Residential is the leading specialist residential care provider to adults with Autism, learning disabilities and behaviours of concern in 2 homes in Kidderminster. In our most recent inspection CQC rated us 'OUTSTANDING.

We currently have vacancies for Autism Practitioners. We are keen to hear from people who are looking for professional development and the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the people they work with. This role provides the opportunity to play a part in a person’s life experiences and share moments of achievements.

**Responsibilities for the Autism Practitioner**:

- Assist in the delivery of life skills, as part of the care and learning plan, and contribute to and support each individual plan.
- Administer medication to service users
- Keep all necessary daily logs, and other documentation updated
- Maintain good communication with other team member
- Carry out domestic duties, and assist service users with home chores
- Assist service users with personal care consistent with their care plan
- Ensure that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- To support the person, you are working with in the home and to access the community
- Providing guidance and support for domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Support service users in accessing activities such as cycling, walking, swimming. You will need to be physically able to adequately support.
- Ensuring the service users enjoy a fulfilling life
- Working closely with vulnerable adults, staff, families, and other relevant professionals
- Following service users care plans closely
- Attend all training deemed appropriate for your role / task
- Always implement and respond to our Safeguarding policy and guidance
- Ensure that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are always followed

Experience is desirable but not essential as you will be working as part of a solid and supportive team and a comprehensive induction will be provided as well as ongoing continuous professional development
