Overview:
Harrow Council is looking for a Senior Recycling Officer. The post holder will be responsible for leading the promotion and increasing recycling waste throughout the Borough, through engaging with, and educating, residents and businesses to ensure increased and correct use of all available recycling options. Support the Directorate to lead the recycling efforts to minimise residual waste whilst maximising recycling waste. Work in close partnership with schools and local businesses to promote recyling behaviour.

About you:

- Able to fully access buildings/sites/rough ground in order to carry out the role.
- Hold a current UK Drivers Licence or equivalent.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and to be on your feet for long periods at a time
- Able to attend occasional meetings and events outside of normal working hours.
- Experience of using a range of data management systems
- Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions within the scope of your authority, and manage their implementation.
- Strong influencing skills, able to work intuitively and liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexibly and meet changing priorities.
- Ability to represent the authority and the service at meetings and events
- Ability to write reports appropriate to the audience including contributing to Cabinet reports and Members Briefing Papers.
