**Role Summary**:
To assist in the management of an effective and efficient administrative office in an education establishment.

**Key Tasks and Activities**:

- To coordinate the admissions process, through communication with parents and local authority, maintaining up-to-date records and providing regular reports to the Head teacher and Governing Body
- To provide the school with a first point of contact for all visitors / callers to the school, responding to enquiries where possible or referring to the appropriate member of staff as required.
- To provide typing / word processing skills for the production of letters / reports as required.
- To provide general office skills including photocopying, filing, receipt/distribution of post; also to receive and pass on messages accurately as required.
- Other appropriate clerical duties to assist the Officer Manager and Senior leadership team.
- Using computer equipment for the input of data and the extraction of information as required in performing the duties of the post.
- Processing orders for budget holders.
- Processing invoices and payments.
- Ensuring that the school obtains best value for goods and services procured.
- Invoicing external bodies for payments and reimbursement
- Checking deliveries of goods and arrange distribution.
- Other minor and/or non-recurring duties, appropriate to the post, as may be directed
- To carry out tasks and any other exigencies as required, relating to the school and it’s Governing Body.
- Occasionally be required to take notes at meetings.

**Key Skills and Competencies**:

- To be able to operate office based software to a high standard to include word processing, creating forms, spread sheets, SIMs and various systems available to the school.
- To communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with outside agencies, parents and the local community.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
