Ovington Boats is a relatively small and specialist business with over 40 staff, encompassing a varied range of boat building manufacturing processes. The company has grown consistently year on year and is both consistently profitable, cash generative and financially well managed, and since 2022 operates from new purpose-built facilities on the existing North Shields site.

We are one of the world’s most successful small boat building businesses specialising in the high-performance dinghy market. We have an enviable reputation for quality and service across a wide range of products including the manufacture of the Olympic Class 49er, the World Sailing and RYA Youth Asymmetric 29er Class, Musto Skiff, VX One, Flying Fifteen and International 14. The business distributes its boats and spares throughout Europe and the rest of the World. Ovington Boats are also able to build and design and develop boats to specific requirements. Due to our recent factory expansion, we have a position available as Material Resource Planning Controller.

As our Material Resource Planning Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

- Fully accountable for material input across our supply chain, maintaining good working relationships with all our key suppliers
- Ensuring material supply and inventory meets our production schedule, working closely with operations and focussing on key constraints and problem solving where appropriate
- Integrating with our sales team to meet customer requirements and maintain our excellent customer service record
- Fully responsible for our warehouse and warehousing strategy, maximising our efficiency through effective inventory management
- Maintain accurate stock levels in our ERP system, ensuring accuracy of bill of material, goods in, good out and material flow
- Supply chain planning and control experience essential
- ERP system experience essential
- Inventory management and warehousing experience essential
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills essential
- Microsoft office skills essential
- Full UK Driving licence would be beneficial
- Qualifications in supply chain management beneficial

Renumeration:
**Salary**: c.£38,000-£42,000 per annum

Bonus: Annual discretionary Christmas bonus.

Holidays: 25 days + stats.

Notice period: 6 weeks

Pension: Company pension scheme provided

Parking: On site parking available

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
