The Governing Board of the Isle of Wight Education Federation is seeking to appoint a Student Support Services Officer, to ensure that learners at the VI Form receive support, advice and guidance so that they succeed to their full potential. This will be through a range of services, activities and mechanisms. The post holder will also ensure learners receive appropriate support, advice and guidance prior to starting their course and during their studies to enable them to progress on to further study or employment. They will work proactively with colleagues to ensure that appropriate safeguarding measures are put in place and concerns recorded and actioned.

The Isle of Wight Education Federation has been established to harness the very best education practice within two secondary schools and a large A Level sixth-form centre of almost 500 students. The aim is to create a culture of continual improvement with increasingly successful outcomes for young people across the Island.

The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years._
- The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services._
