**What is great about the role?**

Ty Trosiad is a hostel for people with long term, complex needs and here we support people with mental health issues, substance misuse and a history of not coping with managing their own tenancy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is lookingfor a rewarding role where you would be responsible for ensuring the health & safety of the building, monitoring people coming to and leaving the scheme, and being the point of contact for our clients, whether they need advice, support, or somebody to talkto.

**Day to Day Duties as a Scheme Support Officer**:

- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Supporting Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
- Welfare checks
- Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building
- Dealing with challenging behaviours
- Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have

Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role, and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse andanti-social and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
