We are very excited to announce a vacancy within the assessment and advice team at Forestcare. This role is based in the community and enables a Forestcare officer to compile and review risk and support plans and carry out assistive technology assessments all with a person-centred approach.

This role provides variety as we strive to provide emergency assistance to Bracknell Forest residents and the wider communities.

We need someone who can keep calm under pressure whilst providing impeccable customer service. A polite, caring, empathetic nature is essential. We are looking for someone who will go the extra mile to ensure that we have satisfied service users.

A firm understanding of IT systems and Microsoft Office suite is essential as Forestcare utilises assistive technology to meet the needs of clients.

**What it's like working in our team...**

The control centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The team consists of several different roles, but everybody works together to provide a very effective and professional service.

Being an assistive technology control centre, the work environment can be variable. One moment it can be quiet and relaxed, the next, noisy, and busy. This ensures that every day is rewarding but very rarely the same.

**You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training...**
- Carry out assessments of individuals needs
- Carry out risk assessments out in the community in all areas of work
- Carry out demonstrations and installations of lifelines, sensors, key safe’s and other equipment in a timely and professional manner.
- Providing information to customers on the range of our services
- Ensure that our client and equipment database is kept up to date with full and accurate information following installation and that finance and other paperwork is completed and progressed
- Maintain our equipment stock so that it is available for demonstration
- Research and understand the range of peripherals available on the market
- Programme equipment
- Provide advice to customers and other professionals on the most suitable equipment for a given circumstance. From time to time attending meetings and forums
- Undertake project work

**What we're looking for...**
- Experience in providing care
- Experience in completion of risk assessments and care plans
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification and experience of working within care
- Full comprehension of the Care Act 2014
