The Advice Support team provides support to Skipton’s financial advisers on complex financial planning areas. They are predominantly responsible for liaising with financial advisers to help formulate advice, perform tax calculations as well as creating Suitability Reports and providing any other supporting documents that are required for the file.

The Advice Support Leader will oversee the day-to-day management of the team to ensure they are providing an accurate and efficient service to Skipton’s financial advisers.

As a member of our Advice Support Team, you will be an essential part of a dedicated group comprising four Advice Support Leaders and one Planning and Research Leader. At the heart of our mission lies an unwavering commitment to our customers, who are the focal point of all our endeavours. We foster close collaboration with various teams within the Money business, with a special focus on the Financial Advice function, as well as cross-functional partnerships spanning the entire organization. Our fundamental role is to empower our Financial Advisers with the support, resources, and insights they need to consistently deliver exceptional service and solutions to our valued customers, ensuring their financial well-being remains our top priority.

What Will You Be Doing?

The role of Advice Support Leader is varied and challenging;- Ensuring that robust quality control systems are in place to deliver day to day functions- Creating suitability reports of a very high standard both in their content and accuracy- Completing regular leader reviews as well as making certain teams & individuals understand what is expected of them- Management and delivery of service level agreements and departmental KPI’s- Provide input in working groups to ensure best practice and innovation as well identifying areas of improvement, embedding the updated FA strategy and driving this forward- In addition to the above you will also be responsible for your leader’s performance both technically and behaviourally, driving the culture of our business at all levels.

What Do We Need From You?-
- Will have attained their level 4 diploma in financial planning- Previous experience of managing or leading a team within a regulated environment- Highly organised and comfortable with challenge- Have a proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally Experience of managing your own personal development.
