To lead and assist with all domestic & catering duties to maintain our high standards and smooth running of the residential centre.

To lead school groups in Children at War activities and other educational activity programmes run by the centre as per the role required for the needs of the group.

**1) Catering**
Preparing / assisting with cooking Food. Serving food to groups. General tidying of kitchen e.g. Washing up, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, mopping

**2) Residential Centre Cleaning duties to including**:Making beds, hoovering floors, washing linen, cleaning toilets and shower areas. Polishing lockers /Surfaces. Other similar duties as needed/required.

**3)** **Children at War Programmes**: These are either as a day visit or incorporated into a residential stay. It would include being in costume to help teach and demonstrate different aspects of the programme. This may also include some cash handling when covering the gift shop.

**4) Educational Programmes**: To lead and facilitate indoor and outdoor educational activities during a visiting groups residential stay.

**Essential**: Excellent Communication skills and basic administration tasks. Hard working to maintain our high standards. Show flexibility as hours may vary over 7 days
- 21 hours per week. However, at times further hours will be expected to be worked. This position is a live

**Desirable**: Previous experience of working with children and/or in an outdoor education setting. Knowledge or an interest in the 1940’s period. Food Hygiene Level 2, NVQ level 2/3 Play work. First Aid Certificate. Experience of catering and domestic housekeeping. To lead and facilitate indoor and outdoor educational activities to school groups during their residential stay.

Qualifications and Skills:
**Essential: Excellent Communication skills. Hard working to maintain our high standards.**

**Desirable: Previous experience of working with children and in /or an outdoor setting. Experience of catering and domestic housekeeping. Level 2/3 Food Hygiene.**



**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
