**Job overview**:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable and well-motivated Medical Secretary to provide a competent and efficient secretarial service to the Responsible Clinicians covering Bowman Low Secure unit and to support the Specialist Community Forensic team based at the centre for mental health and Justice.

Bowman currently has three responsible clinicians who a cover a third of the inpatient caseload each of our 12 bedded male Low Secure Unit.

These RC's include a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Approved Clinician Associate Specialist Doctor and Approved Clinician Consultant Forensic Psychologist. Furthermore, the inpatient team is in the process of integrating with the Specialist Community Forensic Team which involve closer working and medical secretary support for the SCFT and community counterpart.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will be supporting a multidisciplinary team and will be involved with answering calls to the service, arranging appointments, audio typing letters, scanning, and uploading documentation onto appropriate systems, photocopying, minute taking, ordering stationery, healthroster, and some general administrative work as required.

This role will be challenging and varied, but ultimately a rewarding role that will provide an opportunity, for the right person, to become a key member of the team. A high degree of flexibility is required to meet the day-to-day challenges of the service whilst respecting the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of each individual patient.

This role is a full-time position, working 37.5hrs per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

The post holders main base with be at the CFMH&J base at Bodmin Police HQ. The post holder will require police vetting for ID access and clearance to the building. The post holder may also be required to visit the ward or RC office block on the Bodmin hospital site to complete duties.
