Academy1sports College is looking for a passionate Lecturer want to work with 16-18-year academy students in a sporting environment. Academy1sports College has been running for over 10 years and currently deliver across several locations within London and Essex. The Academy has a proven track record for developing learners within a Sporting environment and is looking for a Lecturer to continue delivering an engaging programme to our learners.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To teach effectively (including the necessary preparation) using a variety of methods on appropriate programmes.
- To ensure that learners behave in a responsible manner to a high standard of safety in classrooms, practical areas and around the location.
- Manage and monitor all learner evidence in accordance with company and awarding body requirements.
- Marking assessments, giving feedback and maintain records of learner’s progress and development.
- To undertake appropriate training and Continuing Professional Development activities as part of your role as Sports Lecturer.
- Lead, inspire and support learners with different abilities. And to respond to the personal and social needs of learners in the learning situation.
- Field any pastoral requirements learners may have, signposting them to relevant specialist within Academy1 Sports college.
- Clock in/out using the company APP daily.
- Commitment & Time-Keeping - able to demonstrate full attendance and punctuality within the designated hours of the role.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding (including Prevent) the welfare of all learners for whom you have responsibility for or with whom you meet and adhere to Academy1 Sports Ltd Safeguarding and Prevent policies.

**Essential Criteria**

**Qualifications**
- Must be a qualified Sports Lecturer and hold relevant qualification.

**Knowledge / Technical skills**
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint - intermediate competency required.
- Good working knowledge of BTEC Diplomas in Sport.

**Experience**
- Experience of working as a Sports Lecturer with a proven track record.
- Experience of teaching good quality BTEC Diploma sessions with learners.

**Personal attributes**
- Self-confident. Able to lead by example. Able to engage and motivate people to deliver high performance outcomes for the benefit of young learners.
- Excellent communication skills - pleasant and professional manner - well-spoken - clear, intelligible; good standard of written communication - grammar and spelling.
- Organisation & Motivation - able to work in a structured manner, prioritising tasks and coping with peaks and troughs calmly and responsibly, and to target/timelines.
- Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful - ability to respond according to tasks and situations appropriately as they arise.
- As part of our commitment to Safeguarding and Promoting the welfare of children. Pre-employment checks will be undertaken. This will be in the form of enhanced DBS or have evidence of being on the DBS update service. References will be taken and evidence of all qualifications and awards will also be required before commencement of employment. Failure to do so may lead to offers being withdrawn._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
