The Commissioning Team in Adults is a vibrant and ever changing place to work where there are opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of adults with needs.

The team works at pace and works through its close working relationships with social workers, the provider market, health and wider partners, as well as residents of Swindon.

As a member of the team you will need to be able to build relationships and be able to respond to changing priorities and have great communication skills in a team that works closely together to support one another.

**Your next role**

You will be working with Commissioners and partners to manage, monitor and review the contracts and services within Adult Social Care to encourage a vibrant, cost efficient and flexible local care market place.

The key elements of the role will be to:

- Maintain an overview of the quality of the market
- Work with internal and external colleagues to address issues and concerns
- Support providers to develop their service area in line with the Councils commissioning intentions
- Ensure high standards of quality and performance are in place, using both performance return data and undertaking monitoring visits of services in line with the Care Act

You will require a flexible approach in order to manage a busy workload and prioritise work requiring an immediate response based on risk and need.

A knowledge of health, social care or services would be an asset but an attention to detail, working to a high standard and ability to work in partnership will be the key skills required.
- You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”)._
