We currently have 1 fixed term vacancy for a Play and Recreation Worker post within Play and
Youth Service team, which is part of the Surgery Division at Birmingham Children’s Hospital
NHS FT.

You will be required to work 37.5 hours
a week; 7.5hr - 9.5hr day, between the hours of 07:30hrs and 18:00hrs Monday - Sunday
including Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas Day), with the possible occasional working until 20:00hrs. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative and play/interact with children, young people, and adults. Play and recreation provided will need to be inclusive and diverse to all children and young people that attend the department.

The post holder will be based in the Play & Admissions Centre and will be responsible for
providing general and therapeutic play and recreation, welcoming and sign-posting patients,
their relatives, visitors, external service providers and members of the Trust’s multidisciplinary team attending the Play & Admissions Centre.
