An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Yorkshire Speechie Limited, an independent speech and language therapy service based in West Yorkshire.
We are looking to hire a passionate and friendly Speech and Language Therapist to support schools in the Wakefield area. Our service provides support in mainstream and specialist schools, taking pride in our neurodiversity affirming approach.

We are looking for a therapist to join us for 3/4 days per week at a competitive salary of £26.10 per hour, working 8:30-3pm (with flexibility) with one additional hour of supervision, wellbeing and general support each week.

Our service operates as term-time only, as our ethos ensures a supportive work-life balance for all of our staff.

**Job responsibilities**:

- To deliver therapeutic services to children and young people including therapy and assessment
- To take notes and keep records of the therapeutic services provided
- Complete written reports and/or therapy programmes (at the request of the provision
- in cases where school given consent is provided, the parent must provide verbal/written consent for a report to be completed)
- To communicate with stakeholders (clinical lead/ supervisors/ colleagues, school staff, parents etc) as appropriate, in order to support the needs of the child or young person
- To provide training to school staff, parents and caregivers surrounding appropriate Speech and Language Therapy provisions
- Participate in weekly supervision/ CPD opportunities. This may include article sourcing/ reading, online training modules and research.

**Essential criteria**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience of providing assessment as a Speech and Language Therapist in both secondary and primary settings
- 2+ years experience as an SLT, registered under the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26.10 per hour
